Vegas46 sent me this picture of the Our Lady of Lourdes 8th grade graduation class of 1960. He and pkwy214 are both in this photo but he didn't tell me where. Can you pick them out? Leave a comment if you can find them. One of the sisters is Sister Mary Josepha and of course Msgr. Watley.

This picture of the 1968 Syracuse Chiefs is a contribution of Vegas46

Saam100 sent me picture that he received from Vegas46. It is the 1958 Elmwood Bears Football team taken at Meachem Field. Hint - Vegas46 is in the middle row towards right - anyone know which one? Hey - Vegas 46 - do you remember who the coaches were?

Well, here are some photos from the past. My brother and I had a very nice visit today with Saam100 and he brought the following photos with him. With his permission, I am posting these photos for everyone to enjoy. How many do you know. Saam100 is in the bottom row of the first three black and whites and in the top row in the color picture. If you can find him - post a comment.

Our Lady of Lourdes 1963 7th Grade

Jimmy443 brought me this picture of his 6th grade class at Elmwood School in 1954. He had two copies which are two different shots. I am posting both. Note on the back with the signatures how he identified what class the teachers taught and even the janitor. If you can remember as far back as third grade do you remember that is the year we graduated from printing to cursive? Did anyone notice how perfect that Ms. Langley's signature is. She had to set a good example. Jimmy is in this picture. Can you find him? Who else do you know. Hint-hint - upper right hand corner. Again, Thanks for the picture Jimmy.

In May I traveled to Las Vegas and had the pleasure of meeting our Vegas 46. We had a nice lunch and a nicer visit about the old days and old friends. As nice in person as he is on the blog.

And this is our own "Jimmy 443" He sent me this picture with permission to publish it. He said that this was taken in Elmwood Park when he was 18. Sure looks like he was posing for a Pepsi ad!

Jimmy 443 also sent me this picture of his Dad at his Elmwood Shoe Repair in 1958. Jimmy says that it was on the corner of South and Valley in the Harry Constas building next to Osborne's. The building was torn down to build the gas station. Thanks for the pictures Jimmy.

Here, my big brother was going to a prom and some of the neighborhood had to come see him a tux. In the picture, my brothers, the Cain brothers, Larry Gerschbacher, Wally Ross, two cousins and my little sis.

On the blog there was some discussion of how to fold our Safety Patrol Belts and where our corners were. I was going through some things and I came across this certificate. I thought you might get a kick out of it. I also have all my report cards from Kindergarten right through 12th year but I'm not going to post those! My kids might see them!!! Those were the days when we were trusted to bring them home and have the card signed and returned.

I remember Miss Durkee being so tall. She was a very nice lady.
